Everything you need to know about using WaveTab for seamless dining experiences.

Getting Started: Enrollment

How to Enroll

  1. Visit a participating WaveTab restaurant
  2. Ask a staff member to help you enroll
  3. Scan your palm on their device to capture your biometric data
  4. Staff will generate a QR code for you
  5. Scan the QR code with your phone to complete registration
  6. Fill in your information (name, email, phone)
  7. Add a payment method (optional but recommended)
  8. Create a password for your account

🔒 Your Privacy is Protected

Your palm biometric data is encrypted and never stored in readable form. It's converted to a unique identifier that can't be reverse-engineered.

Linking an Existing Account

Already have a WaveTab account? You can link your palm biometric:

  1. Follow the enrollment steps above
  2. When prompted, choose "Link to Existing Account"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Your palm will be linked to your account immediately

Adding Payment Methods

During Enrollment

You can add a payment method during the enrollment process. This enables instant palm-based payments at checkout. All payment data is processed securely through Stripe.

After Enrollment

  1. Log in to your account at wavetab.com/customer/login
  2. Navigate to Payment Methods
  3. Click "Add Payment Method"
  4. Enter your card details
  5. Choose whether to set it as your default payment method

Managing Payment Methods

  • Set a default payment method for palm payments
  • Add multiple cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover)
  • Remove old or expired cards
  • Update billing information

💳 Secure Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

The Four-Wave Experience

Walk In & Wave

Enter the restaurant, take a seat, and wave your palm over the waiter's device to check in. Your profile, preferences, and allergen information are instantly loaded.

Order & Dine

Place your order with the waiter. Your dietary preferences and allergies are automatically included. Relax and enjoy your meal.

Wave & Pay

When you're ready to leave, wave your palm to see your total. Add a tip if you'd like, then wave once more to complete the payment instantly.

Walk Out

Payment complete, receipt sent to your email, loyalty points added. Just walk out and continue your day.

Payment Options

  • Palm Payment: Wave your palm to pay with your saved payment method (fastest option)
  • Card Payment: Pay with a different card at the terminal
  • Cash Payment: Pay with cash, loyalty points still earned

How It Works

  • Earn 10 points for every $1 spent
  • Get a 100-point welcome bonus when you sign up
  • Points are automatically added after each payment
  • No cards to carry, no apps to open - it just happens

Log in to your customer portal:

  1. Visit wavetab.com/customer/login
  2. Enter your email and password
  3. Access your dashboard to manage preferences, view orders, and more

Profile Settings

Update your information in the customer portal:

  • Personal Information: Name, email, phone number
  • Dietary Preferences: Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.
  • Allergies: Alert kitchen staff to avoid allergens
  • Password: Change your password for security
  • Tip Preferences: Set default tip percentages for quick checkout

Privacy & Security

  • Update your communication preferences
  • Review your data and privacy settings
  • Request account deletion (contact support)
  • Download your data (contact support)

Order History & Receipts

Viewing Your Orders

Access your complete order history in the customer portal:

  • See all past orders with dates, locations, and items
  • View total amounts, taxes, and tips
  • Track loyalty points earned per order
  • Reorder your favorite meals with one click

Digital Receipts

Receipts are sent to your email immediately after payment:

  • Itemized list of everything you ordered
  • Breakdown of subtotal, tax, and tip
  • Payment method used
  • Loyalty points earned
  • Date, time, and location

Expense Tracking

Perfect for business meals and expense reports. Download receipts as PDFs from your customer portal, or forward the email receipts to your expense management system.
