Quick Start
What you'll need
- •Android device running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or higher
- •WiFi or mobile data connection
- •Your restaurant credentials from WaveTab dashboard
1. Install the App
Download APK
Download the latest WaveTab POS APK from your dashboard or use the link provided during onboarding.
# Install via ADB (for testing)
adb install wavetab-pos.apk
Note: For production use, install the app from your device management system or side-load the APK directly.
2. Configure Device
Initial Setup

Open the WaveTab POS app
Launch the app on your Android device

Enter device credentials
Find these in your WaveTab dashboard under Devices
Device ID: DEVICE001
Restaurant ID: (from dashboard)
API Key: (from devices table)

Tap "Connect"
Device will fetch configuration and start heartbeat
3. Staff Login
After device configuration, staff members can log in using their PIN codes:
12341111 or 2222Configure staff PINs in your WaveTab dashboard under Staff Management
4. Test Your Setup
Place a Test Order
- Log in with staff PIN
- Browse menu and add items to cart
- Set table number
- Review order and submit
- Verify order appears in web dashboard
Success! Orders should sync to your dashboard at restaurant-excosystem.netlify.app/dashboard
Troubleshooting
Device can't connect to backend
Check:
- Device has internet connection
- Backend URL is correct in app settings
- Environment variables set in Netlify
Staff PIN fails
Verify:
- Device ID is correctly set
- Restaurant ID matches backend
- PIN is correct (check Staff Management in dashboard)
Orders not appearing in dashboard
Check:
- Staff is logged in when submitting order
- Restaurant ID matches
- Review function logs for errors
